Adobe has announced during Mobile World Congress that it is porting its AIR cross platform application enviroment to Android with an eye toward deployment on iPhone.
The AIR application enviroment on Android functions identically to the desktop version, with applications seamlessly functioning between both desktop and mobile platforms.
Adobe has also developed a new AIR compiler for the iPhone known as the Packager for iPhone which shares code with the forthcoming Android version, both of which also use Flash 10.1 as a base for development and deployment.
