  • Apple CEO Offers $100 Credit, Apologies for Early iPhone Customers

Apple CEO Steve Jobs has offered customers who purchased an iPhone before yesterday’s price drop a $100 credit towards purchases at either an Apple Retail Store or the Online Store.

In an open letter posted on the Apple website, he stresses the ever changing and advancing world of technology as well as offering assurances that those that purchased the iPhone on launch day will still receive support as new models come out. He also apologized for disappointing some customers due to the price drop.

Most experts and analysts were predictably shocked and slightly bemused at the outcry that the price reduction caused, even among the dedicated fanbase, but were not expecting such a move by Apple.

The details for the $100 credit redemption will be unveiled next week.
