AT&T Cancels K850a Launch, Possible N95-3 Launch

According to a report on Engadget Mobile, AT&T has ordered any promotional collateral for the K850a to be taken down and thrown away, as many AT&T store employees are also reporting that the K850a has been canceled in order to make way for a possible launch of the Nokia N95-3.

As we reported previously, the Sony Ericsson K850a featured an industry leading 5.0 megapixel camera with a CCD sensor and xenon flash, as well as featuring support for HSDPA high speed data access, quadband GSM/EDGE, media player, QVGA display, Bluetooth with stereo audio support, and was supposed to be one of the first Sony Ericsson phones in the US to support both MemoryStick M2 and microSD cards.

The phone will still be offered in the US as the K850i directly from Sony Ericsson, featuring full US 3G support and speculation remains rampant that this is the main reason for the cancellation.
