ImageAfter unexplained delays, AT&T has officially launched the Nokia E71x smart device.

The Nokia E71x is nearly identical to the unlocked NAM E71 sold directly by Nokia save for AT&T branding and AT&T firmware which includes access to bespoke services such as Mail, Navigator, IM, XM, Music, CV, and mobiTV along with dual-band HSDPA, Wi-Fi radio, Bluetooth with stereo audio support, speakerphone, and 3.2 megapixel camera with flash along with a QVGA display, QWERTY keyboard, microSDHC slot, GPS support with voice control, and speakerphone.

It should be noted that this version does support Video Share, but does not feature a front-facing camera due to AT&T’s device requirements.

The device is now available for $299.99 with No Commitment or $149.99 after new 2 year agreement before an additional $50 mail-in rebate via prepaid Visa card, bringing the total to $99.99.

Except it doesn’t have the front camera.

You can’t really use the front camera on the E71 anyway. You can only use it for video calls. Hopefully they will enable it in a firmware update so it can be used as a secondary camera.
