Details and screenshots have surfaced on the much awaited BlackBerry OS 6.0. 6.0 is poised to feature: an improved home screen with multiple home pages, Â a brand new web browser with multi-tab browser, a redesigned media player interface, and a much improved tab app switcher.
Overall, the improvements look to help improve the Blackberry OS user interface while still maintain the excellent messaging user interface. The launch date is currently forecasted to be June/July of this year, which leads us to believe the OS is finished and in testing right now. There is no information if any current Blackberry handsets will be able to upgrade but based on RIM’s track record it will be up to the carrier to determine if it’s offered.
