A bunch of late night work has gone into the Knowledge Base. We’ve dramatically cut the remaining phone backlog down to a comfortable level. Also, references to PCS Intel have almost been completely removed (yes, that quickly).
But there have been a lot of behind-the-scene changes that have been implemented. For example, all phone images on the site are going completely SEO-clean (meaning search engines will be able to pick them up more easily, driving traffic up).
The next step after we mop up the remainder of the work above will be to upgrade the MediaWiki platform that powers the Knowledge Base. We’re currently using the last version that supports PHP4, and we’re finally nearing a state where we can go PHP5 site-wide. There are a few glitches that are stopping PHP5 rollout, however, we expect them to be taken care of within a week.
Beyond that, we’ll be prepping to put each phone on its own page, deploying the metadata that’ll let you view phones how you want… oh and having more specifications on more phones than any other source.
