We’re now powered up with 5.6 GHz total of NetBursting power. The upgrade was going to be pushed over to next week, but we burned some midnight oil and got the job done.
Giveways will resume, and we’ll go back to juggling only 12 things at once.

This weekend you’re going to see a considerable amount of content… we’re working on a bunch of reviews (slowly getting out of the backlog that we’ve accumulated). We’re going to be performing a major server upgrade today, that will hopefully handle the expected increases in load that we’ve been seeing. We will be upgrading to fully-dedicated hosting on a brand new server. The underlying software won’t change however, so you’re just going to see a massive performance boost.

While right now it doesn’t appear very necessary, we are using a unified login system between Joomla and IP.Board. This was used for when we required you to be registered to post comments… which we no longer require

Today I’m welcoming Elijah Nicolas to the PhoneNews.com team, he’ll be writing and contributing news on a daily basis.
We’re still hiring new writers, our internal goal right now is to have seven writers… so head on over to our jobs page and take a look…

Last night, we ran into a bug with our comment system. We contacted the team that writes that piece of software, and they’ve sent us a fix. Unfortunately, we won’t be able to test it until tonight, and thus, cannot put up a new giveaway until that has been done.

Due to factors beyond our control, the next giveaway in our 2-month giveaway series will be delayed until later tonight. We are still working on optimizing our server to handle the increased server traffic.
