Comments are finally working again. We’ve basically told our server to reject any request for a trackback, to filter out spam. Yes, another giveaway delay. The folks that write our comment software for that software we are moving away from… have finally taken the hint.
They’ve finally listened to the fact that our trackback woes are indeed still happening, and have isolated it down to a bug… even though we disabled the trackback system entirely… the core [...]

The comment software unfortunately still doesn’t work. Some of the code changes have caused the comment software to break. Worst, one of my own suggestions to resolve the hole didn’t get implemented, and now we’ve stumbled over the lack of that fix being put into place.
