Excessive Server Load (Updated)

PhoneNews.com is currently suffering from extremely high server loads. Our servers are being overloaded, and we have technicians looking into it right now. This has been happening for several hours, so we apologize if you (continue to) have trouble loading pages. As soon as we get to the bottom of it, we’ll let you know.

Update: We’ve traced the problem to the comment software… which has been causing dramatically higher CPU usage since its last major release. Unfortunately, downgrading isn’t an option (and even if it was, it wouldn’t be secure). So, unfortunately, comments are disabled until further notice.

Unfortunately, this means we’re going to have to reboot the current giveaway, which we will do at midnight. Giveaway entries will have to be run out of the forums until the comment software improves.
