Google Is Respecting 301 Redirects

Technical blog post… if you’re not making a web site with 1,000,000+ views monthly, you probably don’t need to read this.

There has been a lot of debate as to if Google is respecting 301 redirects. I am happy to confirm that as a part of the PhoneNews.com transition, we have proven that they do. Backlinks did forward from both PCS Intel and Sprint PCS Info of old on over as backlinks to PhoneNews.com

So, if you ever need to change domains, and have a massive viewership (like we do), be sure to 301 redirect the old site. Your search engine results will thank you.
