Mozy’s Mac Beta Quietly Updated (Updated)
Mozy has been updated for Mac. We love Mozy because it’s the first online backup service that makes sense. I’ve chronicled how it is better than Time Machine (though you should use both once Leopard/Windows Home Server comes out). And, it works on PC or Mac.

Well, they’ve come out with a new version with Windows that fixes some bugs. More importantly, their new Mac Beta. The new Mac Beta is “faster and more reliable”, but more importantly, adds new features. Most importantly, Mozy adds a Mac interface for file recovery. You don’t need to go to the web site to recover files anymore.
Mozy gives 2.25 GB for free. And, for $5/month, you get to backup your whole hard drive. This really is a public service announcement… backup your files people! I’ve personally set up dozens of people (not even counting the blog) with Mozy… and every one of them has much more peace of mind about their files.
Update: The Mozy folks sure work fast… they’ve just issued a new beta, coming in at version 0.6.0.2.
