New Site, New Forums Too

We’ve been told to expect support for IPB 2.2 later this week. We’ll put the code into testing just as soon as we get it. With any luck, we’ll be able to roll out updated forums this week.

This update isn’t so much revolutionary as it is evolutionary. It includes a new text editor to make it easier to put style into your posts. It also has some “social networking” features that we’ll probably disable from the start. But, more importantly, lots of under-the-hood changes that will make it easier to combine userbases with things like the Knowledge Base in the future. Oh, and hopefully less spam on the forums… we know that’s a pain and we’re doing the best we can to fight back against it.
