No Morons of The Show This Year
As I’m wrapping up our on-the-scene coverage at CTIA, I am happy to report there were no Morons of The Show this year. As you may know, last year we had to give Motorola and LG our Morons of The Show award for refusing to let us take photographs of even announced products. Normally we wouldn’t mind that, except they let several other members of the mobile media do exactly what we wanted to do. At that point, our only option was to deny them coverage… which isn’t good for anyone (from them, to us, to you the reader).
I am happy to report that we were very proactive in letting those companies know that this wasn’t acceptable… and they worked with us to make sure that wouldn’t be a problem this year. No exhibitor at CTIA denied or interfered with our ability to cover them, and so I’d like to take a moment to thank all the media reps that we took time to meet with.
On a closer-to-home note, we’re still putting together the last day of CTIA coverage… and the show was so big, we may have to break it up into two parts. As you’ll see, this year’s show was bigger than ever.
