So Many Little Things…

First, we were just about to get the Samsung SCH-u740 review out, then Windows Home Server CTP came out… yours truly had to do reformatting and reinstalling. Then, getting back to the review, I realized it was time to tackle the (subtle) RSS problems we’ve been having. After that, the WAP pages took some attention. You’d think we were all ADD, quite the opposite, this is just a typical weekend of resource management at PhoneNews.com.

So, what’s been done over the past weekend? Well, a lot. First, we’ve gotten about 95% of the WAP portal done, so soon you’ll be able to browse the news of PhoneNews.com right from your phone.

Next, some bad news about the RSS… full articles may be going away shortly. We’re not happy with the amount of time it takes to put out full RSS feeds (due to some bad cache routines, it can take up to 45 minutes). We’re tired of our competitors seeing news on our site, posting it on theirs, and having their articles beat ours to your RSS feed reader. We will keep working to getting full RSS news items in the mean time, we want you to see the full article in your feed reader as much as you do.

Finally, we have a new addition to our News Submission procedure that will be up on the main newsfeed in an hour or two. Essentially, we’re finally adding anonymous file submission, something nobody else in the mobile media has done to-date.

Oh, and about that Samsung SCH-u740 review, in the words of Comic Book Collector Dude, lowest score ever! That should hold you over until the full review… we may get it out tomorrow if it isn’t as busy as this weekend… somehow I suspect it will be though.
