There are no Items to display, Joomla is Lame

If you are trying to pull up the news today, and are getting a “There are no Items to display”… don’t blame us, blame Joomla.

See, when Joomla gets overloaded… like when everyone’s at home and tries to pull up PhoneNews.com at the same time (say, on a holiday… like New Year’s Day), Joomla spits out something stupid, like “There are no Items to display.” And, it isn’t our server either… it’s just bad code on the part of the failed content management system, Joomla.
Well, there are items to display, and there is a spoon.  We’re not going to fix things right now since within 24 hours, we’ll be pulling the plug on Joomla completely. We have gone ahead and yanked some plugins in preparation (like, buggy comments).
