Update Delays

We’ve had to delay deploying Joomla 1.0.13 and IPB 2.3.1 because of delays in getting key components from developers. We now have what we need… and should be able to begin deploying it as soon as we get some midnight oil to burn. Unfortunately, I can’t pin that down at this time. We’re also still stuck wasting time on researching/networking/salvaging the future of Joomla… since Joomla 1.0.13 blocks any potential defection to Mambo.

We have some more content ready to upload to PhoneNews.com Video, but we haven’t had time to that either.

And, we have reviews for iPhone and the VX8550 Chocolate almost ready to go… same reason as above.

I’ll be honest, we need more people to come and work for us. We’re paying more than the competition, so that certainly isn’t the issue… the problem is, most qualified people for positions like writers, work for carriers already. That’s a side-effect of having a significant portion of our daily viewers… doing so from inside the Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon, and AT&T stores of America.

I will note that work has begun on my own, personal “blog”… though it won’t be a blog in the typical sense. I’m not interested in telling folks what I ate for dinner, or how my tooth feels this week. Original content is what differentiates a news site from a blog, and that’s all I’m going to say about that for now. On a lighter note, guess what CMS I probably won’t be using for it?

So, unfortunately, this is a growing pain. We’re gaining in popularity because we post a lot of content. Now we have even more content to post… but nobody to do the job. So, if you are interested, I really encourage you to check out our jobs page… because we’re going to have to keep spamming the site with these type of notices until we get more people onboard.
