We’re Hosting Firmware

Yes, we did delay Beta 1 of the rebuild of the Knowledge Base (Version 2.0). Sorry.

The good news is, we did it in-part to make sure that we could add a new feature to the release. We’re now offering firmware hosting for all you phone hackers out there. This means you can now download firmware flashes for phones, to test, and even fix your sick phone.

We currently are not hosting phone service tools… we are evaluating the recent U.S. Copyright Office rulings still. However, we believe those recent rulings clearly put firmware files themselves in the black… they cannot run on devices other than which they are licensed for, and they are essential in the process of unlocking many phones.

We have added just about every Motorola CDMA phone firmware that is in the public domain right now. You can access them on our new Motorola page. I do caution, it isn’t pretty right now… it’s not even a beta yet. However, the links work, the downloads work, so we encourage you to both link and download until your CDMA Moto flash fix is satisfied. And no, we aren’t going to stop there… expect many more firmwares to go up in the future.
