You Call that a DOS Attack?

Turns out, over the past month, we were under a DOS-style attack from spammers. I just had to come back to work to sever the connection.

The spammers were operating out of Korea on Samsung’s network over there (yes, they have a network over there).

Anyways, they were easily the highest traffic IPs for last month, and this month was bursting even worse. Our server was handling the traffic just fine though… but once we found it, well, shutting them off became a priority.

Okay, now that’s done, off I go again…

Oh, and by the way, I’m happy to announce that Humberto Saabedra is returning to the writing staff, he’ll be around starting early next month.
