As has been blogged about in the past,
December is going to bring a lot of changes. Most of these changes
(like, a new name) are aimed at attracting a more mainstream
audience with better promotion. Other changes are going to be
welcomed ones that have been a long time coming.
So, here’s a quick list of the top three
(that is, the top three off the top of my head in the evening)
• One web site. Our Blog, our
Knowledge Base, and our News all one one easy-to-remember
address.
• All your old links will work. It
doesn’t matter if it’s
http://www.pcsintel.com/forums/someancient_thread… it will carry
over without any loss of pages or information.
• Drum roll… Wireless Forum
Posting! That’s right, you’ll finally be able to access our
forums from your cell phone… and post there too. Now, we’ve been
tripped up on this in the past (sometimes minutes before rolling it
out), so we aren’t completely promising this will work at-launch.
Mostly because we’re paranoid about wireless posting breaking down
in testing… again…
We’re also working hard to offer our news
from cell phone on our new WAP page as well. A full WAP portal is
in the works, but probably won’t make it until next year (since we
want it to be the best… and a simple cache of links to other
sites just won’t do).
But, that’s just a small bit of what’s
being worked on. We have folks working on the Knowledge Base
preparing it for major changes, a new logo is being designed right
now, and many other projects like some giveaways that we’ve
already teased to death.
