An image found on USCellular’s site suggests the carrier will be launching its version of the popular HTC Touch Pro 2 and will also be the first CDMA carrier to offer both Windows Mobile 6.5 and HTC’s highly praised Sense UI according to the above image.

Current CDMA versions of the Touch Pro 2 recently launched by Verizon and Sprint feature Windows Mobile 6.1 along with TouchFLO, with no word on availability of the expected ROM updates to 6.5 from either carrier at this time, making USCellular’s variant more desirable to enthusiasts.

The device features Windows Mobile 6.1 Standard, QVGA landscape display, EVDO data access, microSDHC expansion slot, speakerphone, 2.0 megapixel camera with video recorder and QWERTY keyboard.

The HTC HD2 features a 4.3 inch WVGA resolution capacitive widscreen touch display, Windows Mobile 6.5 with HTC’s Sense user interface, Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset with a 1GHz processor and 512 MB ROM/448 MB RAM, dualband HSPA/quadband GSM, Bluetooth 2.1 with stereo audio support, Wi-Fi radio and GPS transceiver with A-GPS support.

AT&T has announced its HTC variants in the Tilt 2 (Touch Pro 2) and Pure (Touch Diamond 2) with Windows Mobile 6.5.

The HTC Tilt 2 features Windows Mobile 6.5 along with the same tilting 3.6-inch widescreen WVGA resolution touch display, large QWERTY keyboard and speakerphone with dual speakers/dual microphones featuring noise cancellation coupled with HTC’s Straight Talk functionality as found on previously released models.

The rest of the feature set includes a 3.2 megapixel camera with video recorder along with stereo Bluetooth, Wi-Fi radio, microSDHC expansion slot, 3.5mm headphone jack and triband HSPA/quadband GSM/EDGE for international roaming.

The HTC Pure is AT&T’s variant of the Touch Diamond 2 and features a 3.2-inch WVGA widescreen touch display, Windows Mobile 6.5, 5.0 megapixel auto-focus camera with video recorder, microSDHC expansion slot, gravity sensor and an ambient light sensor along with speakerphone, stereo Bluetooth support, Wi-Fi radio and speakerphone.

The Pure is available now for $199.99 before an additional $50 mail-in rebate, bringing the total to $149.99. The HTC Tilt 2 will be available in the following weeks for $349.99 before an additional $50 mail-in-rebate. Both require a new 2 year agreement and activation on a $69.99 or higher service plan.
