CTIA: AT&T Wireless Getting Ready for a Complete 3G Smartphone Lineup
With their main competitor, Verizon Wireless, having all EV-DO smartphones in their existing line up, AT&T still has some of the more popular smartphones limited to Edge.
AT&T’s CEO, Ralph de la Vega, took the opportunity at CTIA today to announce that “all” of their smartphones will be 3G in the coming months.
The smartphones that are limited to Edge in AT&T’s current line up are:
- BlackBerry Pearl
- BlackBerry Curve
- BlackBerry 8820
- BlackBerry 8700c
- Palm Centro
- Palm Treo 680
- Apple’s iPhone
