Google Local for Mobile J2ME Updated

In addition to offering BlackBerry services earlier this week, Google has released GLM version 1.1.1 for MIDP devices. To update, simply go to google.com/glm from your device and re-download the application.

Sprint: PRL 10030 Released

Sprint has released PRL 10030 for non-EV-DO phones. It is not known what this PRL update changes, but does follow the release of PRL 20217 for EV-DO devices. Call data support to request the update.

Verizon gets an Exclusive on the Treo 700w

Verizon Wireless has begun offering the Treo 700w Windows Mobile smartphone as an exclusive offering.
Verizon Wireless began making the 700w available on its website, and lists the device with a retail price of $549 with a 1 year contract, and $499 with a 2-year contract.
