We are happy to report that we have resolved the issue with Sprint and PCS Intel. Sprint has withdrawn their DMCA notice filed against us today. Their complaint stemmed from information posted about Family Locator. We have modified our article to make it clear that Family Locator has not launched.

Following Cingular’s 8125 launch, T-Mobile has today launched the MDA, their version of HTC’s Wizard device. The current retail price is $349.99 after rebate with one-year agreement ($499.99 without contract). Next week, however, T-Mobile plans to remove all one-year offerings, making this price a two-year agreement offering only.

Sprint has released three firmware updates today, one for the Samsung MM-A900 and two for the Samsung MM-A940. Firmware ZB12 for the MM-A900 fixes problems with a Bluetooth phantom ringing issue. Until this week, both Sprint and UTStarcom were confirming to PCS Intel directly that the PPC-6600 would be updated to support EV-DO. However, that has now changed.
Katie Wasserman, the Vice President for Marketing of UTStarcom’s Personal Communications division confirmed directly to PCS Intel this week that the PPC-6600 would not be updated to support EV-DO.
