Cingular today has begun to offer the Nokia 9300 via consumer sales channels. The Symbian 7.0 Series 80 device is a smaller version of the 9500 without WiFi or a camera, but maintains EDGE and Bluetooth, IR, and USB connectivity.

Sprint at the start of next week will execute several major changes to their plans structure and sales, as well as introduce up to four new Vision-class phones. As we have previously alluded to in past reporting, T-Mobile has now switched all stores and most indirect resellers to selling only two-year contract plans. With this change, T-Mobile will remove one-year contracts and price-points from their sales in a move meant to force customers to either commit to two years with the carrier.

Verizon Wireless today launched the industry’s first pay-as-you-go EV-DO data access plan. BroadbandAccess can now be purchased for EV-DO data cards at a per-day rate of $15. This allows for users who are rarely away from broadband internet to not have to pay the typical $60 to $80 per month for such services.
