Cricket Wireless Launches Samsung Siren

Cricket Wireless has launched the Samsung SCH-A870, which is branded
the Siren by Cricket, and the first Samsung phone on the network.
The midrange handset features Bluetooth, VGA camera with flash, support
for Cricket Downloads, WEB browsing, and
speakerphone. The phone is available for $179.99 or $139.99 online
through myCricket.

Verizon and RIM Officially Announce BlackBerry 8830

Verizon and RIM have jointly announced that the BlackBerry 8830 World
Mode CDMA/GSM smart device will be available on May 14th through
business channels for $399 with a $100 rebate and new 2 year agreement
with an additional $100 credit for those customers that add a voice
plan.

AT&T Launches Option GT Max ExpressCard, Announces Sierra Wireless USB Modem

AT&T has launched the Option GT Max 3.6 HSDPA/EDGE ExpressCard.
The card supports ExpressCard 34 and 54 slots, triband W-CDMA support
(UMTS/HSDPA 850/1900/2100), quadband GSM/EDGE (850/900/1800/1900), and
support for XP and
Vista with no immediate word on Mac support. The card is now available

First Images of Samsung A717, A727 Surface

The first image has surfaced of the AT&T branded Samsung A717
and A727.  The A717 and 727
are Samsung Ultra Series handsets with US 3G UMTS/HSDPA support.

A727 is an ultra-thin clamshell that is similar to the Samsung M610,

T-Mobile Wing Revealed By FCC

The T-Mobile Wing/HTC Herald has passed through FCC apporval. The
Windows Mobile 6 Professional Edition device is the replacement for the
T-Mobile MDA and features a 2.0 megapixel camera, Bluetooth, WiFi access, and EDGE data as well as myFaves support indicated on the backside of the device. There are no launch details at this time.

Alltel Launches Samsung Wafer and Snap

Alltel has launched both the Samsung R510 “Wafer” and the u340 “Snap”.
The Wafer is a fully packed ultra-thin candybar feature phone with a
