  • FCC Reveals T-Mobile Branded TM506 Sony Ericsson Clamshell with AWS 3G

The FCC has revealed the first images of the first T-Mobile branded Sony Ericsson handset since the T610 which is being branded the TM506.

The clamshell is functionally similar to the recently revealed Z780a clamshell, with a few stylistic changes including a neon green metallic finish found around the inside of the clamshell, metallic finish for the keypad, and soft-touch paint with black gloss on the front flip with a camera of as yet unknown resolution.

According to the sample user manual, the phone features triband GSM/EDGE with support for US frequencies and HSDPA support on T-Mobile’s nascent 1700Mhz 3G network, GPS support through a standalone transceiver, additional A-GPS support, MemoryStick M2 expansion slot, media player, QVGA display, web browser, RSS reader, Bluetooth with stereo audio support, myFaves support, and speakerphone.

Neither Sony Ericsson nor T-Mobile have confirmed the handset or availability details at this time.
