The first images of the Motorola Opus One iDEN Android handset have surfaced after months of rumors and speculation. The device was first rumored during the summer and confirmed by Motorola in the same timeframe this year.
The Opus One will also mark the first Motorola device that will not be manufactured directly by the Mobile Devices/iDEN divisions of the company, with Israeli subsidiary ODM Mirs handling hardware production for a commercial launch in that country planned for early 2010. A US launch timeframe is yet to be confirmed.
Update: A series of videos (1, 2, 3, 4) has appeared on YouTube detailing the phone and many of its features including a 5.0 megapixel camera with video recorder, Android 1.6, Wi-Fi, microSDHC expansion slot, speakerphone, and what looks to be a capacitive display of as yet unknown resolution
