Google has improved their Gmail interface for the Apple iPhone. The new version features Auto-complete composing, refreshing and faster load times. For those who have updated your iPhone to 1.1.3 and actively use Gmail, the update automatically converts your POP access to IMAP. In other words, any changes that you do in your inbox will reflect and sync with actions in the standard Gmail web interface.

Google announced just in time for Macworld 2008, that its applications have been further optimized for use on the Apple iPhone. Users can also now take advantage of an improved and new iGoogle page that is more user-friendly for navigating on the iPhone’s touchsreen interface.
