Helio is attracting customers today with the introduction of their new top tier plan: $99.99 for unlimited voice minutes, data and SMS text messaging along with other phone dependent capable services. This plan was previously priced at $145. It is not clear if this is a limited time offer, or a permanent plan change. The only drawback to this plan is that it does not allow for the subscriber to tether their device to a laptop.

While that is true, carriers often place “limited time offer” as a legal statement… it doesn’t mean what Helio’s true intentions are. For example, virtually all Sprint plan offerings say somewhere in the text that it is a limited time offer.
