LG Dare Follows iPhone 3G, Falls to $99 (Updated)

Online retailer Wirefly has decided to price-match the new lowest-selling-price of iPhone 3G (as a refurb from AT&T’s web site), and has begun selling the LG Dare for $99.

The LG Dare VX9700 is Verizon Wireless’s exclusive Prada-derived consumer phone. It makes up one of Verizon’s four answers-to-iPhone (the Voyager, Samsung Omnia, and HTC Touch Pro comprising the other three).

Similar to AT&T’s iPhone refurb offering, this Dare price-point is only available to new customers.

Update: Wirefly is also refunding the cost of Verizon’s $35 activation fee, making the net cost of the phone actually $36 cheaper than iPhone 3G (AT&T still charges a $36 activation fee for new accounts).

Now every GOOD phone in US flocking to USD 99? Interesting to see who else to join this trend!

DO NOT order from Wirefly! They’re parent company (InPhonic) filed for bankruptcy some time ago. It’s been 2 years, and I still haven’t gotten the rebates that I was promised, which add up to $300+. Order at your own risk…
