Shame the Air shuts down a core if it gets too hot. Although there is a fix for this!

New internals would be nice. The MBA Rev 1 used a parallel storage bus, not serial, so as advancements in SSD storage appeared on the market, a MBA owner could not leverage any new drives, since those drives were all SATA - serial. Clumsy design.

A higher capacity battery is really important to a portable product that can't have it's battery replaced. iPhone is just like this, too - why are they doing this? Clumsy and inconvenient. Sort of discounts what a portable is all about.

Paying $2500 or thereabouts for one lousy USB port is just too daft IMHO. I'd like to see a lightweight portable from Apple that is not crippled in functionality and IO.

Thin is nice but thinness in portable computing has not been a problem since the mid-1990's, when laptops were 3" and 4" thick. They solved this years ago. Mac users deserve more than a stripped-down, de-featured, wafer-thin slice of aluminum with the cheapest LCD screen that the purchasing department can negotiate. Removing as much as you can is not innovation or creativity - it's the cheap (probably highly profitable) and dirty way out.

The real challenge that requires thought, design expertise and innovation is delivering a smart featured computing experience in a lightweight portable environment. Get back to work in Cupertino and give us something meaty and worthwhile.
