Well i will be very happy to see this launch. I have been trying to find a way to make my phone sync thru wifi in the middle of the night without any user interaction.
now we just need soem way to make the QuickGPS and weather apps automatically update in the midle of the night, every night, and we’ll be good.

Would be nice to see Microsoft one-up Apple and add features like Remote Wipe, sans the need for Exchange. It’s 2009, and we’re still having to hack/jailbreak phones to enable Remote Wipe in a non-corporate environment.

Just for comparison, Sanyo had Remote Wipe added on all their CDMA phones six years ago. While it’s nice to see Microsoft getting up to the curve, we’re still not seeing anyone raise the bar.

Sprite Terminator has remote wipe. There are a few freeware apps that have it too (I think the GPS tracker that the guy at xda made has it). But yeah, I hear ya though, it would be nice if Microsoft had an official remote wipe feature built in.
