Microsoft Releases Windows Mobile 6.1 Email Patch

Microsoft has released a patch for Windows Mobile 6.1 users that addresses a sporadic issue wherein an email account set up on the device using a carrier designated account can become corrupted if the carrier does not specify an outgoing email server of its own. If the connection subsequently fails to connect to a user specified server, it corrupts the account stored on the device.

The patch is free to download.

Glad to see that Microsoft is using the Windows Update feature in their Windows Mobile software….. oh, wait, they haven’t YET!

Glad I disabled the auto check for update!!
