New Sanyo Katana II, Katana DLX Details

The first draft images of the Sanyo SCP-6650 have appeared through the FCC.

We previously
covered the first details of the phone as the successor to
the Katana, which will be released under the Katana II. The SCP-6650 will be a modest improvement to the current Katana, adding an improved camera and multimedia support.

However, the SCP-6650 will not contain EV-DO. That will be reserved for the Katana DLX; the SCP-8500. The existing Sanyo 8xxx line will receive the Katana DLX, building on the SCP-8400 with the thin Katana design, and including the 8400’s full feature set, including EV-DO.
