In a post on The Official Palm Blog, the manufacturer and device developer has revealed an new Electric Blue color for the AT&T Palm Centro which will launch on Friday July 11th, coincidentally the same day as the iPhone 3G.
The device has been a surprise hit for the venerable manufacturer which has seen its once dominating position in the market disappear in the face of rivals such as RIM, HTC, Samsung and other manufacturers that have found success with smart devices while Palm is seen as an also ran in terms of device innovation and recognition.
Aside from the new color, the company is hinting at a new promotion that will last from this Friday to September 20th in order to spur sales to students, though it is not clear if it is simply a limited time discount or a permanent price drop with the site simply stating that more details will be available on Friday.
