After seven years of history, we decided to close the Phone Encyclopedia. The section began in its earliest form on one of the first generations of PhoneNews.com, which was a little site called SprintPCSinfo.com.
With the ever-evolving pace of the mobile media, we decided it was a good time to offer the information up to Wikipeida. We’ll be rolling out the process for this contribution shortly.
As part of this realignment, we’ve integrated some select sections of the Phone Encyclopedia back into the main site at PhoneNews.com. These are information resources that we feel we’re in the best position to maintain, and keep up-to-date for all of you. We also encourage you, on each page, to contact us if you would like to contribute information to those pages.
This change will help us stay more competitive in terms of web search, as well as free up resources to better improve PhoneNews.com in other places.
