The Ogo CT-10 was IXI Mobile's first wireless device, using their own IXI Platform OS. The Ogo was the first mass-marketed IM device without voice phone functionality. AT&T Wireless sold it as a low-cost alternative to T-Mobile's Sidekick (combined with a less than $20, data and messaging-only plan). The device began its sale shortly before Cingular's merger with AT&T Wireless, at which time Cingular leadership lost confidence in the device. After two years, Cingular shut down their Ogo server, rendering the device useless.

Carriers: AT&T (Legacy AT&T Wireless)

Phone-as-Modem: Using a proxy server, the Ogo can be used as a modem. Community web sites that detailed this procedure have since been closed, due to the demise of the Ogo in America.
