Tips/Tricks/Hacks

The phone features Sprint's new BREW UI based OneClick user interface and is set as the default theme with no user-level option to disable the user interface or switch themes.

However, with the MSL, you can revert to the LG Default theme using the following method:

  • From the home screen, enter ##3282# (DATA)
  • Press 9, or scroll to XUI
  • Press 2, or choose Edit
  • Enter your MSL when prompted
  • Press 3 or choose THEME
  • Press 2 or choose LG
  • When back a the XUI menu, press back to allow the phone to reboot.

To revert back to OneClick, follow the same steps but choose "XUI" instead of "LG" at the next-to-last step.

Currently there is no known way to change to a theme aside from the default LG theme, or to change the direction pad shortcuts.

Default shortcuts in the LG theme are:

  • Up: Send Text Message
  • Left: Scheduler
  • Right: Sprint Music Store
  • Down: My Stuff
  • OK: Main Menu

Also note that the "Shortcuts" in the OneClick interface is a truncated version of "Favorites". That is, when you are on the LG theme, all the shortcuts you set on the OneClick interface will show up under "Favorites", but you will have room for up to 12, instead of just 5. If you switch back to OneClick, you will only have access to 1-5 of your favorites.
