OTA PROGRAMMING

Step 01:

Change ESN in billing system. 

Step 02:

Power up the handset. 

Step 03:

Dial *228 + SEND 

Step 04:

Follow the VRU prompts 




USE OTA Where Available. If OTA is not available follow instructions below.

AKEY PROGRAMMING

Step 01:

Generate a random A-Key and power phone on. 

Step 02:

With the flip CLOSED, press 2539 + * + * to access AKEY INPUT MODE. 

Step 03:

Press 1 for Akey Entry 

Step 04:

New AKEY displays, enter 26 digit A-key then press OK when complete. 

 PROGRAMMING COMPLETE

QUICK PROGRAMMING

NOTE: Programming NAM 1 or 2 does not automatically set the phone to use NAM 1 or 2. Check NAM SELECT under Features to make sure what NAM the phone is using. Customer Service should be programming NAM 1 unless instructed otherwise.

With the flip OPEN, Power device Off then On, press Menu + 0 to access Programming Menu and continue to step 2 below.


Step 01:

With the flip OPEN, Power device Off then On, # # 7 7 6 4 7 2 6 9 9 0 0 + SEND to access Programming Menu 

Step 02:

Service Code ?????? displays, enter 000000 (Service Programming Code - Default) 

Step 03:

Press 1 for Service Prg. 

Step 04:

ESN XXXXXXXXXXX displays, press OK. 

Step 05:

Phone number (MDN) XXXXXXXXXX displays, enter the 10 digit MDN then press OK. 

Step 06:

Phone number (MIN) XXXXXXXXXX displays, enter the 10 digit MIN then press OK.  

Step 07:

NAM 1 Home SID XXXXX displays, enter SID without the zero´s in front (i.e. 20=CHI, 530=SBD) then press OK. 

Step 08:

NAM 1 Name NAM1 displays, press Edit [Left SoftKey] or press OK. 

Step 09:

NAM1 Completed Basic NAM1 is completed displays, press Exit [Left SoftKey]. 

Step 10:

Phone will power cycle 

 PROGRAMMING COMPLETE

Security Code [XXXXXX] displays, enter new 6 digit security code then press OK.

NOTE: Changing code to something other then 000000 may/may not be retrievable and interfere with OTA. Please advise customers to remember there new codes.

Step 11:

NAM1 MCC [310] displays, press OK. 

Step 12:

NAM1 NMSID [00XXXXXXXXXX] displays, press OK. 

Step 13:

NAM1 True IMSC MCC [310] displays, press OK. 

Step 14:

NAM1 True IMSI NMSID [00XXXXXXXXXX] displays, press OK. 

Step 15:

NAM1 PRL Enabled [Enabled] displays, press OK. 

Step 16:

CDMA Home SID/NID [Index SID NID] displays, enter new XXX then press OK. 

Step 17:

NAM1 CDMA Pri. CH A [283] displays, press OK. 

Step 18:

NAM1 CDMA Sec. CH A [691] displays, press OK. 

Step 19:

NAM1 CDMA Pri. CH B [384] displays, press OK. 

Step 20:

NAM1 CDMA Sec. CH B [777] displays, press OK. 

Step 21:

Lockout SID/NID [Index SID NID] displays, press OK.

NAM1 Home Sys Reg [Yes] displays, press OK.

SHORT PROGRAMMING press Edit and follow instruction under SHORT PROGRAMMING .

LONG PROGRAMMING press Edit and follow instruction under LONG PROGRAMMING

Step 27:

Phone Model [XX] displays, press OK. 

Step 28:

Slot Cycle Index [X] displays, press OK. 

 Phone will power cycle

Select WAP Setting.

Select Proxy Address Setting. 

Select Primary Address or Select Secondary Address.

Step 05:

Enter the 12 digit Proxy Addresss EG. gw.vzwwap.com 

Step 06:

Press OK, press CLR 

Step 07:

Select Proxy Port Setting. 

Select Primary Port. 8080 Select Primary LXL Port. 0443 Select Secondary Port. 8080 Select Secondary LXL Port. 0443

Step 10:

Press END
