Tips/Tricks/Hacks

Hack: Use a different TDMA phone...

In doing this, you can have two phones with the same phone number. Unlike other GAIT devices, you can use TDMA and GSM on the phone separately. For example, you can use a standard TDMA phone in addition to the GSM inside of the Siemens S46. You simply have to call AT&T customer service and give them the ESN of the other TDMA phone, and the IMEI of the S46. The IMEI will be valid as a dual-network phone, but any valid ESN can also be used. Warning: do not have the TDMA phone and the S46 powered on at the same time, as it could possibly trigger a network security alert.
