Qualcomm, developers of advanced wireless technologies have announced the latest addition to their Bluetooth solutions, to deliver a better user experience and offer significant advantages for handset manufacturers.
The new BTS4025 system-on-a-chip (SoC), is said to offer full support for Bluetooth 2.1 + Enhanced Data Rate (EDR) specification. It also offers improved radio-frequency performance in a smaller-efficient package.
The officials at Qualcomm have said that this is optimized for interfacing with certain Mobile Station Modem chipsets. The BTS4025 SoC does not require many external components and can use the existing system clock, allowing easy integration; it also extends battery life by reducing stand-by time. The increased output power improves the connection reliability and range between devices.
The new BTS4025 SoC is claimed to be the industry’s smallest and more power efficient Bluetooth device.
