  • RIM to Deliver Windows Live Services with Microsoft on BlackBerry

In a press release yesterday, RIM and Microsoft jointly announced the pending integration of Windows Live communication services Windows Live Hotmail and Messenger later this summer in multiple languages.

BlackBerry users will be able to enter their account information for Windows Live Hotmail and Messenger once and integrate the accounts within the devices’ legendary email and messaging clients, simplifying integration and negating the need for running third-party access clients on the device.

The integration of Windows Live Hotmail will also enable real-time push access for each dedicated or merged mailbox configured for the email service, as well as enable viewing of HTML email with graphics and sound.  Windows Live Messenger will also allow the typical desktop IM experience with real-time status indicators, display images for quick identification, save logs of chat sessions and real-time file transfer between contacts.
