Samsung M500 Specifications Leak

Full specifications have been disclosed for the Samsung M500. The M500, unlike the M250, is not a high end device. It will replace the Samsung A920 in Sprint’s present PCS lineup. The low-end EV-DO music phone will carry A2DP (and AVCTP) for portable audio, saving high-end audio for the Samsung A720.

The M500 is thinner than pictures depict the device, at only 17.7 millimeters. Similar to present Samsung offerings, the shared memory access will provide around 50 MB to users. Like the A920, it will feature a 176×220 pixel display, with a 96×96 external display. Bluetooth 2.0 will launch on the device, however, will not carry EDR… a firmware-oriented lacking feature aimed at pushing savvy consumers to higher-end devices.

Previous high-end specifications for the M500 will be delegated to Samsung’s other M-class offerings; the M250 and the non-descript M600. In the coming weeks, we expect to deliver you full details on the M600, the M250, and Sprint’s upcoming high-quality mobile TV service.
