Sony Ericsson Announces Z780a with US 3G and HSUPA

In a press release today, Sony Ericsson has announced the pending launch of the Z780a clamshell phone with US W-CDMA support.

The Z780 features quadband GSM/EDGE support with triband HSUPA high speed data access (a first for Sony Ericsson and the US market), large internal display, Bluetooth with stereo audio support, 2.0 megapixel camera with video recorder, MemoryStick M2 expansion slot, media player, RSS reader, aGPS support, FM radio with RDS, and speakerphone.

The phone is expected to be available later in the second quarter of this year with no pricing information at this time.
