Sprint About-Facing On Tethering?

While many have confirmed the Sprint Treo 650 had Bluetooth disabled for tethering an internet connection, it appears Sprint now wants to fix that, and has gone on-record stating you will be able to tether via Bluetooth on the PPC-6600/PPC-6601.

According to Jeff Shafter from Sprint Business Solutions PR, an update to the Treo 650 will be released to re-enable this hindered feature. Further, he stated that at the present time, there is “…no restriction on these devices (uses) from a pricing/plan standpoint…”
