In a press release this morning, Sprint has officially announced the launch of its long-awaited XOHM Mobile WiMax high-speed internet service in select parts of Baltimore after months of delays.
To celebrate the launch, Sprint is offering the choice to purchase two pieces of hardware with a lifetime service discount in its “Pick Two for Life” promotion (purchase two different devices and receive combination service for $50 a month for the life of the account) , paying by the month for either home only at $25 per month, mobile only service for $30, or daily service for $10 a day.
 
Currently, the only two pieces of compatible hardware available are a portable router from Zyxel and an ExpressCard from Samsung, with the router priced at $79.99 and the ExpressCard priced at $59.99 from either the XOHM web portal, Telesales, or select Baltimore-area dealers with more devices being made available in the future such as a USB modem, laptops, with built-in radios, internet devices such as the Nokia Internet Tablet, and a dual-mode CDMA 1xEVDO Rev. A/WiMax device which are expected later this year.

I called XOHM on 9/29/2008 at 5:00pm EST and asked if they had a 5GB CAP, bandwidth throttling, lower your speed like t mobile. AND HE SAID NO NO NO THEY DO NOT DO ANY OF THE ABOVE.
HOW AWESOME IS THAT O YEAH DA DA DA DA DA DA DA CAN’T CAP THIS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
