      It’s important to note that the Hero variant for the US will carry a different code-name. HTC always uses different code-names for their CDMA and GSM variants… so it is correct with they say that the Hero won’t launch there.

      Ask them about the CDMA version of the Hero… and you get a big fat no comment.
