After months of speculation, Verizon has added international support to its VZNavigator GPS solution inintially for the BlackBerry Storm with more devices to be supported later this year.
VZNavigator Global contains support for the US, Canada, Mexico, France, Germany, Italy, Norway, Spain, Sweden and the United Kingdom, with additional countries to be added later this year, either English or Spanish as the default language, and miles or kilometers to mark distances.
The application also uses Local Search to find restaurants, gas stations, banks/ATMs and other points of interest.
The application is available for $19.99 per month on top of a suggested Unlimited Global Email plan at $64.99 or $69.99 per month with or without a companion voice plan.
