Verizon and RIM Officially Announce BlackBerry 8830

Verizon and RIM have jointly announced that the BlackBerry 8830 World
Mode CDMA/GSM smart device will be available on May 14th through
business channels for $399 with a $100 rebate and new 2 year agreement
with an additional $100 credit for those customers that add a voice
plan.

Verizon will be offering unlimited Global BlackBerry email service for
$64.99 and $69.99 with and without voice plans respectively The
device will be made available through retail stores on May 28th. The
device will feature a QVGA screen, microSD expansion, media player,
dualband GSM/GPRS support (900/1800) for international travel,
Bluetooth, and speaker independent voice dialing as well as a
speakerphone.
