Verizon has formally launched the HTC XV6900 smart device featuring Windows Mobile 6.0 and HTC’s TouchFLO user interface.
The device is identical to the Touch on Sprint save for the striking white bodyshell, and the current lack of EVDO Rev. A data and GPS functionality which is expected in an update sometime in June along with the Sprint version.
Like the Sprint version, the XV6900 features a 2.8 inch QVGA resolution touchscreen display with a virtual QWERTY keyboard, Bluetooth with stereo audio support, speakerphone, 2.0 megapixel camera with video recorder and autofocus, microSDHC expansion slot with support for 8GB cards, voice control, and wireless contact sync support through Verizon as well as ActiveSync and Windows Mobile Device Center.
The smart device is available online for $399.99 with an instant $100 online discount before an additional $50 mail-in rebate when adding voice and data services together, bringing the total to $249.99.
